Even Up High

Even up High:

with me over looking
the paled world from
only eyes that I
alone can use. Wings
flutter against the minds
ever locked cage that will
eventually lead us all
down the paths of
destruction that we can never
obtain forgiveness from.
If you promise that
you'll hold me, never let
me fall so low
down that I can't
get up, and if you
lend me wings, maybe
I'll get up so high
I won't have to come down.

                                                 Without me by your side.
