Even the Winds and Waves Obey Him

“26He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. 27The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!” Psa 147: 19, 20 NIV

Even the winds and waves obey Him; His rebuke brought calm. The storm of Galilee that day To lack of faith added balm. The disciples feared for their lives; Were amazed by this miracle. Christ calmed the storm— To Him was no obstacle. The winds and waves still obey Him For He is their Creator. Faithlessness still reigns; Few search for their Maker. Miracles everywhere abound, But few acknowledge they exist. Christ in His mercy With man still persists. There are no winds or waves That Christ cannot still. Any storm of man or ocean Calmed at His will. For He has power over nature; Tells the storms to cease. When we step out in faith, Many miracles He’ll release. Do not quarrel with the potter; Remember you’re the clay. He’s all knowing— Let His will come into play. Though storms may occur, He can calm them all. Trust in your Father; The storm on Galilee recall. Copyright © Maureen LeFanue 2009-2012 www.maureenlefanue.com
