Even Before

EVEN BEFORE

Before eyes could blink
Before minds could think
Before hands could touch
Before arms could clutch

Before lips would kiss
Before hearts would miss
Before lungs would fill
Before tears would spill

Before dawn could break
Before life could take
Before you were she
Before we were we

A heart beat in time
Before you were mine
Two souls would weep
In a night-less sleep

And vows were made
That would never fade
And love would soar
Even Before!
