Even Angel's have Demon's
In the deep shadows, she shined so bright,
A beacon in my darkest night,
Her gentle touch, a soothing balm,
In her embrace, I found my calm.
She fought for me, she took my sin,
Her sacrifice, my hopes to win,
But in that battle, she did fall,
Angel wings torn, by demons call.
I watched her fade, my heart in pain,
A cruel exchange, for all my gain,
Her light now dimmed, her spirit worn,
In her absence, I am torn.
Now I stand, alone and lost,
Bearing the weight of what it cost,
For even angels, pure and true,
Have demons lurking, in their view.
So in her memory, I hold her dear,
Her light within me, crystal clear,
And though I stumble, in the dark,
I know she's with me, like a spark.
