Eve

Everyone blames Eve.
They believe
she was the cause, effect and reason.
But she was human
and did not weave
generational punishment on her own.
We cannot leave
the story there
without remembering the gift she was given:
free will, from her Father -
the right to choose.
She deserves reprieve.

I have great sympathy with Eve, it was through kindness that Adam also ate the apple - surely she was doing the relational thing and sharing her food. This deserves a win for that reason alone and a nice poem too :)
