Euthanasia

This little word
Well, this very long word
That's a tough topic to dwell on
I'd rather close my eyes
I'd rather close my ears
I'd rather close my door

But there is something called reality
Back in college people had their opinions and feelings about this issue
Lots of feelings and opinions
It was a tug of war
Both sides heavily armed
when i say both, i mean for and for not

Why should i say anything
About it
Knowing am human and accidents happen
Illnesses attack and the body cannot fight
Chronic or acute
I may be the one laying on that bed
Begging to be freed
Screaming to be allowed to sleep
No more tubes, no more shots, no more machines, no more diagnosis...
Just let it
Be
Natural

How do i feel
Just fear
I do not know, the future is scary
Things happen
The future is tender and sensitive just like the topic
You never know
Opinions matter
