Eternity

I long to be nearer unto CHRIST my king,
yet I find in every path; 
a step leading back into sin.

So how can I a child of hell,
be called a child of GOD;
when everyday in sin I live?

I strive to not be a part of this world,
for I know I am not of it;
yet of this world I find I depend.

I face my foes but not alone,
for in CHRIST JESUS knows;
now in sin I strive but in spirit do live.
JESUS gave light and dwells eternally.

So of this world I strive to cling not,
but to the promise My GOD promised me;
ETERNITY!!
