Eternally Relieved
Now absent from the body
relieved finally from wrenching tubes
Dad bade goodbye, serenely leaving
last will with Scripture's assurance:
"In my Father's house
are many mansions..."*
Yes, he's surely welcomed by the Lord,
the Saviour and Endower of eternal
life to them who placed their trust
in His sacrifice, along His Word
asserting: "I am the way,
the truth, and the life..."**
Instilled with such divine truth, my faith does firmly cling
to the Shepherd's promise: "Though I walk through the
valley of the shadow, I will fear no evil for Thou art
with me..."*** Indeed, God walks warmly along
death, comforting with His compassion for us
not to fear death, but be prepared for it.
