Eternal Soulmates

Things just haven’t been the same since that dark day
Consuming me like a hot flame, the memories on constant replay
I wish I could raise the dead and you would be alive!
You raised a thoroughbred and yet, I struggle to survive

I need you so much, Momma, more now than ever
Life and its drama seems it will continue forever
I meditate on tools you gave me most of my life
Still I broke the rules and now that your gone, it cuts like a knife!

I know you got your heavenly wings, so please shelter me
Let me hear angels sing and give me inspiration for my poetry!
On your wings hide and guide me beyond those pearly gates
A spiritual healing inside will then make us eternal soul mates!!!

Your poem really moved me, Jimmy. I miss my mother too and am sorry you had to lose yours as well. Surely, she would be so proud of the wonderful poetry you have been writing. Love, Carolyn
