Eternal Hope
I pray every day that today will be the day
that you will get tired of drowning your sorrows
Life has not been easy for you, but I admire
how strong you are. Or were
before you allowed alcohol to take over your life
I still love you with a mother's love that is as deep
as it is wide and I have many hopes and dreams for you.
I know that you have the strength to heal but
it is not my choice, it is yours, but my hope and prayer
is that you make the choice for cessation
and begin the life that you choose
not the life that substances are choosing for you.
