Eternal

This is the day,
 a day we weep,
A day we cry,
We mourn for those, those who have gone,
To the place unknown, which we have heard of,
We do not mourn for them, They've gone to a better place, we mourn for us,
when each one goes we lose a friend, a loved one, a protector, or a child,
we cry not for their pain, we rejoice because they are beyond pain.
We cry for us to relieve our own pain.
The trappings are not for them.
They no longer car, it is for us,
For those left behind. Tears flow to the ground, filling the seas with our grief until
at last it is time to rest.
