Eternal

I watched you slip away and I wanted to keep you here.
I held you and in your pain and suffering,
I knew I had to let you go to HIM.
HE called your name and you walked peacefully into the light,
and as HE reached down from HIS throne and lifted you up,
                                   you walked through the gate.
HIS peace and comfort consumed you and you saw the face of GOD.
Your suffering on earth is done.....your todays are forever.
No yesterdays, no tomorrows and no sorrows.
Your spirit is finally free.....why do I weep....
                                         I feel your spirit rise.
There is no end for you...
only a beginning that springs eternal.
I see you smile, HE is beside you.
You are now and forever free of life's bonds and clothed in....
                                              HIS eternal grace.

The poem is beautiful. Life presents unexpected trails and tests, so I have learned that they are a part of life. I particular love the last two lines because it reminds me to offer grace and kindness to myself and others.

Lovely poem! We will all see Him face to face one day, if we trust Jesus to save us.

Your words touched me quite deeply. I lost both my father & a sister just last year. This is a message I needed to hear. Thank you
