Estranged In a Strange Land

Hope that they still
celebrate Thanksgiving, 
in whatever alternate world 
that you're living

Hope there's great food
and laughter and peace,
that the people are kind
and happiness does increase

Hope that it's safe
in the world that you're in
that no harm comes your way
and a new life can begin

Hope that this prayer
finds it's way to God's ear
that he watches o'er you
and he keeps your soul near
