ERROR OF VALENTINE'S DAY
Like yesterday, bitterness clings to my tongue
That memory refuses to be undone.
February 14th, a cherub's play,
His arrow struck, leading me astray.
A tiny angel, drapped in white
Arrows of love, piercing the night.
Revenge, my friend, I sought with zeal
Chasing him across lands surreal.
On a hotel bed, our battle ensued
Lost in passion, my innocence subdued.
Pride and dignity, lost in the fray
For chocolates and flowers, I gave them away.
