Erase It

The simple line partens the land And people alike Dividing thoughts and emotions Fuelling the enigma of voters Carried on in name of freedom We separate ourselves From ourselves Making walls and borders To protect us from raiders Fearing the advancemnt In the waters. The simple line partens the land And people alike And how do you justify? On one side Earth remains barren Minds of those in power And on the other Fields run lush Potbellies in full vigour The simple line partens the land And people alike. The air too is distinct Each nation coloring it in With smoke and propaganda Trying to tame the wild winds The simple line partens the land And people alike. So many stand sentry To defend and secure Their motherland and more But no one hears the cry Of the mother now not And wife now not The simple line partens the land And people alike. Metal giants and ammunition Traded more than smiles Lives taken infinite But nourished only your might. Any thought of peace Proceeded by the blood cry To avenge that fragile ego Of power lie The simple line partens the land And people alike Into us and them So different and yet The same humans The same soil The same children The same toil. The simple line partens the land And people alike These borders have stood too long They have created conflicts Where were none. Your and my motherland Is the same. The same trees The same flowers But yet so far away The simple line partens the land And people alike. Hear O hear Tear down this boundary And put on wings Carry free on the winds Untamed. Which line you ask? The one in you The one that Differentiates news from you Which tells to Ignore the beggars Ignore the rapists Ignore the murders Ignore the fascists Ignore the peasants Ignore the corruption Ignore the ventriloquist media Dancing in government fingertips The simple line divides your mind And your feelings and action Erase it
