Epiphany

I whisper to you lullabies In lost directions Maybe I have wandered too far away To remember the way back There is this epiphany Cracked melodies They remind me how it felt When hope lingered Somewhere in the crooks of his elbows In the curve of his smile Hope to finally forget you But when has hope ever known reason? When has hope ever defied fate? Remember that night, under the stars? You had tasted too much like forever I told you, you were a part of me, Funny, How do you breathe without the rest of you? How do you get over yourself?
