Epilogue:Saturday

The lazy
afternoon
rolls
     itself
our
like a wave crashing
     into the shadows
The air is warm
    and the atmosphere
is thick
     We walk on
"gilded splinters"
       this afternoon
while anticipating
    the days to come
Let the clouds
     disappear
     we need no
rain today
     what we need
is sunshine
     on this day in
early summer
    flowers are blooming
with riotous colors
   What better way
to delight the
    senses than
taking a walk
    among them
near the shore
a boy is fishing
Fishing takes
    patience
   So does life
so let's not hurry
   this afternoon
The time we
have is limited
  Still, we have
a moment to
  take delight
Before the book
  is closed
Let's read a
  new chapter
    the story which
 is our fate
    is about to
 continue

Do you live near the ocean? I wish I did. I am an Earth sign, but my favorite element is air, and my second favorite is w/out a doubt - WATER! I am, of course, more partial to the ocean as you made me want to fish in this lovely write. I don't even fish. It isn't a matter of patience, but skill. I am notorious for tangling a line in a heartbeat. Nice imagery, again. Much love, Ivy
