Epilepsy, A Blessing And A Curse

I am too afraid to ever at all drive,
I rather much remain well and alive.
I haul toilet paper, groceries, laundry;
The benefit is exercise making me lively.

I am too afraid to live all alone.
I live among those I can go see or phone.
I remember each time I had awoken
From every seizure that left me broken.

I am too afraid to ever truly die.
I know living through is what I must try.
I promised God I'll live this life through,
No matter how I suffer and feel so blue.

I am too afraid of having another seizure,
I religiously medicate to prevent another.
I know I'll survive even if it happens again,
Because God is my father and my friend.
