Entwined Lives

A winters day in the woods
The air now cold as I stood
The world turned magical
After a coat of thin frosty snow
Like skin tingling with the flow.
My minds lens opening some more.

The trees stood wide apart
Bare branches entwined like blood vessels
Hidden under skin from the start
Branching off in different directions
In a maze of veins and arteries
Travelling from the heart.

Holding up the tree’s circulation
Till the warmth of the red hot sun
Helps to melt the snow
New leaves burst in spring
A skip in my step I move ahead
The cycle of life carrying on in a glow.
