entre chien et loup

refers to the moments after sunset
when the sky darkens and vision becomes unclear
making it difficult to distinguish between dogs & wolves

sundown blues & rain
plum island in the rearview

Beachmist air for the ride home
reddening our eyes & epoxying our skin

with the windows rolled up
I can hear your emphatics
	more easily, but

with the sun finally down
its harder to follow your lips
	as you share them
