Entity

I stand alone,
fear looms in the darkness threatening to keep me company,
I stand alone,
where once i needed a lover to identify myself,
I stand alone,
there was a time i worked to exhaustion so the world would love me, but today,
I stand alone,
no longer in need of external validation,
no longer afraid to look like a fool,
no longer speaking to prove I am who I am,
I stand alone,
unafraid of being just who I am,
I stand alone,
inspired by the me I have become and am becoming,
no longer lonely enough to accept fear as my companion,
with divine light shining out from within,
I can see the me I was always meant to be,
now certain of who I am, to the bone,
I stand alone.
