Why do people gossip?

Mostly because they either seek to be entertaining or they seek to be entertained.

Either way it isn't good to be in their line of fire.

Remember, if they will talk to you about others they will talk to others about you.

Give people like that a wide berth.

Entertainment

Gossip is evil.
It's base and it's cruel,
And it comes in many disguises.

It comes as concern,
And it comes as a joke,
And it claims reputations as prizes.

It's a parasite,
Depleting it's host,
As well as the victim intended.

Nothing is built,
And nothing is gained,
And little is ever mended.

Those who know little,
Often speak much,
And those who are wise speak the least.

Remember these words,
And think 'fore you speak.
It's best to just hold your peace.

Thanks so much Chris. I do so agree with you. How can so much prattle say so little is beyond me. It sort of reminds me of a bunch of clucking hens. Lots of noise but none of it means much. lol Thanks bunches my friend. God Bless, JB
