Entering the Real World

I'm well aware that you all are my partners I'm well aware that you all are my friends But the times are changing and fate is so cruel We'll never share another word once we're done with school At best we've got three months before fate splits us all Humanity cannot hope to resist time's call The shock will be great and I'll dearly miss you all The sun's setting soon and our shadows are tall And I don't ever wanna feel like it was all for naught Twelve of my grandest years, these battles that we fought And I don't ever wanna feel like it was all for naught Even though the end is near, is this what I sought? It's hard to believe that it's almost time to Leave the ways I've only known my whole life But the halls have grown thin, is this what it's come down to? To leave this place behind and move on with my life But I don't ever wanna feel like something's been left behind Everyone I know and love, imprinted in my mind And I don't ever wanna feel like I never said good-bye When everyone I know and love go by like fireflies Entering the real world now Leaving the womb I know Entering the real world now It's time to start the show Entering the real world now No time to question why Entering the real world now It's time to say good-bye
