Enshrined Shadow

My sonorous sky showers melody of tear, the saturated shards of my shattered heart can only hear. I paint your portrait with patina of twilight, the gilded cloud frames it in the rainbow arch on its flight. Its shadow floats in my sea of emotion, in the squall of passion the waves of my longing dance in elation. Before your image sinks in my dismal core, the tide of time brings it back with euphoric pearls to my shore. My yearning melts into fervent flow, surges from my ardor fountain, swathes your enshrined shadow. ______________ April 16, 2023 For A Brian Strand Premiere Contest No 1208
