Enlightenment in an instant
Held captive in space and taunted by time,
impressions graze soul as senses entwine,
where recognition dawns betwixt love’s chime,
in that instant when head and heart align.
Blink and we’ll miss it, that flicker in space,
beheld if our ego, we but let go,
whereupon the veil lifts admitting grace,
revealing our being, pristine like snow.
Soundless thunder rising from down under,
lights in our soul’s presence, love’s bliss incense,
imbibed by our heart in childlike wonder;
that rapture borne by divine effulgence.
Enlightenment: when does the tumbler fall;
in as that instant, birthing a bliss squall?
