Enjoying the Show
The purple iridescence reflects,
deep into the flowing river.
Inviting picturesque poetry,
penning quickly in my sketch book.
Clouds cool the humidity,
while blue herons fly over.
Fighting the windy wetness,
while diving into the deep.
Fishing for prizes of river trout,
inviting gulls to their bounty.
Fighting over the river mist,
sounds of their cries eerily echo.
I put down my penned sketch book,
no longer focused on the birds.
I stop to see the morning sunrise,
enjoying the superb morning show.
