Enjoy the time together

Like a shooting star, you won’t be here, In a blink of an eye you’ll be gone. The moment you blessed me and lit up my world, Light through the void of my nights. As you fly on by, leaving a glorious trail Fine grains of golden stardust. I wish I could follow, and join your flight, But here I am stuck, on earth. I wish I was born, in the same year as you, So we could start our journeys together. But I’m 60 years late, the beginning and the end, Golden years and twilight. The reassurance I have, is the stardust you dropped, Which I keep in my heart eternally, As I am made from the same stardust as you, My grandparents I cherish you forever.
