Enjoy Life More Every Day
and post notes and photos about your poem like Emile Pinet.
Each New Year's you make a resolution
Nothing life-changing, just some small changes.
January first means a new start for
Optimist that wish themselves a better
Year ahead, vowing to improve their lot.
Little changes are quickly accomplished
Insomuch that they least disrupt your life.
For-instance, eating meals at the table
Every time, not in front of the TV.
More often than not you fail to honor
Or even want to keep New Year's pledges.
Resolutions can't change reality
Even though hope promises to do so.
Each new year accumulates like snowflakes
Varying lessons learned over time
Equate to the hopes and wishes of youth
Resolute in their desire to improve,
Yesterday sets and tomorrow rises.
Don't get stressed out by annoying habits
After all, you're not getting younger and
You should first enjoy life more every day.
