Enigmatic: Pt 1

Letting go my ego
Finding my peaceful
I once was
A beautiful frame of mind
All the time
Did not try
Simply was
Thought-blooming with colored petals of sentience

It was so easy
Until I became fiend
Learned greed
Subconsciously

Confused love with sex and suffering
Gave and gave
Until nothing was left to give
Became nothing myself
Trying to revive someone else
Lost my own life

Still I look back to the boy I lost
And love him more than I did back then
His fails, his tries
All of his innocence

How could he ever know
What was in store for him
A little down the road?
