Enhancement
A spoonful of chocolate
stirred into coffee
produces a brew
so delightful, so addicting . . .
Coffee, straight;
smacks flat, bitter.
Its only advantage lies
in the heat sliding downward,
warming heart, stomach, bones.
Coffee, with;
hits smooth as velvet,
rich, comforting,
marking my day
with positive sway,
settled contentment.
