English Language ( Part 1 )

-------------------------------I failed English in High School
Could not understand the writing rule
If I say, when it reigns it pores, people agree
Yet when I write the same phrase people say what’s wrong with me

I before E (accept) after C less it sounds like an a as in neighbor or weigh
Where do the words foreign and sovereign (steigh)
Do they stay with a goose among geese or with a moose among (meese)
Do they live in a house with a scavenger mouse or something much bigger
Is there several (hice) with several scavenger mice

English is just a complicated language. Hehe. Especially for those poor foreign people having to learn it when they come into America. But I love it! I love English. I love your poetry too. This one is great, and I am looking forward to reading the other parts of it. Always, Laura

HA! I am with you, my challenged friend. as many know here (especially my grammatical savior, Sharon!) I SUCK st spelling! not to mention mixing up straight and strait, etc...yeesh, without her, I'd look like a moron. ah well...like my directional ability, my spelling went the way of the dodo when I wiped my memory banks - at least that's what I tell myself! lol i used to be an awesome speller as a kid! love this! Love, Kristin

They say English is the most difficult language to learn! This is an awesome write! I know a few brilliant people who are terrible spellers. Like it even matters! I say who cares! Besides, I have never even seen one spelling error with you! I guess you are supporting others here too. Bravo! Love, Shar xoxo

HG, I’ve thanked God for spell check hundreds+ times. I'm just lucky that I had an English teacher that gave us 2 grades per essay. Content was one grade. Grammar & spelling was the other. The average was the essay grade. Otherwise, I would have thought that I couldn't write worth a hill of beans. As with all of your work, I love this one. Go see my poem "Elephant Dandruff” There’s a lot of attention over that End Word Line. I think it must be a new form. Love Dane
