Enemies of the Sonnet Man- the Muse (Part Four)

Circumstances between me and The Muse
Soon ran into some technical problems,
But I did not have the power to choose
The best way to successfully solve them.
I shared my poetry like a "sub-let,"
Then she started to criticize my rhymes.
I did not react, but changed the subject,
Trying to make lemonade with a lime.
I soon learned that she would not be a friend,
Instead, she chose the role of a fighter,
Whose response to "When can we meet again?"
Was, "When you become a better writer!"
This statement came across as being bold,
And also came across as being cold.
