Enemies Eyes In the Night

In the light of the day, I am okay
But as the day fades away,
The monsters want to play.

I never know who I will be,
Never know what I will see,
Or what will become of me.

I'm okay in the light of the day,
But for some reason at night,
The darkness comes to life.
Not pretty, 'Fairy-things,' but
Ugly, 'Hairy-things,'
Hateful, evil,
Demonic, 'Scary-things.'

Daytime is dull and dead, but
Peaceful and doesn't mess with my head-
Just empty space beneath my bed,
Instead of the demons I normally dread.

In the light of the day, all is okay,
But as daylight dies and falls into night,
My truths turn into lies,
And every glow in the dark becomes my enemies' eyes.
