Endless, Wishing Dreams

Endless, wishing dreams.

I curl up in a ball,
close my eyes tight.
My imagination running away from me.
I conjure my Sam beside me.
Long brown hair with equally brown eyes.
I blink, god I could die.
My mind taunts me, lonely lonely it calls.
I try to get up and fall.
He kneels down besides me and holds me close.
I blink and its back to reality.
I cry softly, all anyone ever wants is to have someone.
Will I ever have anyone?
I crawl outside, stare up at the sky.
A million dazzling, twinkling stars wave down at me.
The night seems colder then it is.
I slowly crawl to the middle of the street,
lay down and go to sleep.

I awaken,
to my dissapointment.
It's midday now.
The sun glares down at me and I am blinded.
I close my eyes and curl up tighter in a ball.
I feel a hand on my shoulder,
a gasp and a tear falls on my cheek.
They think I'm dead, I might as well be.
The hands lift me up into someones lap.
Lips press to my forehead, I look up.
I see brown eyes, I reach up,
tangling my fingers into long brown hair.
He takes my hand in his, finally he has come to me.
Picking me up he carries me into the house and rests me on my bed.
Leaning down as I reach up,
our lips meet and everything will be fine.

I awaken.
Curled up in a ball,
laying in my bed,
with a knife in my hand,
and death in my head.
We will never meet,
this was never meant to be.
I shudder with sadness and tears burst from my eyes.
WIth a suicidal sigh I scream.
