Listen to poem:

Endless Moments

the moments of children are endless
until time intervenes
imagination filled joy claims the light of day
how small their world, and yet
how vast their kingdom
where the next thought is another minute of fun
not escaping the world
rather...living in it for all the happiness to come
free from worry or concerns
where responsibility is foreign and unknown
and play, is there to be captured
by creative imagination in their world of dreams
when the mind of a child is unafraid to explore
every thought, that freely flows, unrestrained
from the burdens of failure
a time to pass through, to be remembered when old
when we were touched by the breath of God
and called Angels

this is absolutely fantastic. Oh gosh, I am seeing such good poems from this challenge. I don't even know how I will compete! One thing I will say about this childhood topic. I guess I am a Peter Pan who never grew up because even in my 60's, I am making almost every second be filled with as much fun as I can possibly get,and when I was a child, I was not even as imaginative as I am now(except for daydreaming a lot more!!) The ending of this poem is really good!!

A true and accurate picture of childhood Frederic. Very deeply written. Having said that, i watched my grandchild spill water all over the living room floor then dance in it. lol, she's only two:)
