Endless
Spending the hours day after day avoiding certain utterances
But it’s increasingly constant and becomes ever more difficult not to notice.
And the regrets they grow to enormous proportions;
Believing more should have gotten done.
And the nights continue to roll on;
As does the obvious unlikelihood of a coming slumber.
When it’s time let me be;
In a place where it goes on forever;
Like a moment in life;
Where time has no end.
And love always is;
And always has been.
So now practicality dictates that I take this to my bed;
Because if rest should come;
There’s always tomorrow;
And tomorrow is yet one more new beginning;
Where compassion, humor and leaps of faith;
Happen every day
