Endings

endings

sometimes,
I return to that little girl
because the pain of an ending
carries me there.
I am standing
outside Debbie's house
watching her leave
with a new friend
when I follow
I am left alone.

I like your poem. It's a hard thing, feeling like an outsider because you are sort of betrayed by a friend....
