Ending

Bile mixed with venom
Hatred that will not be outdone
Poisonous words that Reek all about
Friendship forgotten

Anger whipped up by unsated rage
Runs amok
Words said that can never be recanted
Without increasing
The already lethal animosity and hate
Are fired towards one who was once an ally
A very sad state of affairs
A house of cards crumbling

Anger that will forever smoulder
Till no one can claim victory
Will darken the day of both sides
Where no glimmer of hope
Can ever again shine through

A tempestuous tango
Where misunderstandings are now the norm
And emotions drain all the love away
Has each combatant numb
Insensitive to each other

Hearts are now graves
Where caustic memories cloud reason
And where selfishness is king
No one has the ability to stop
There is no option of turning back

Wounding is easily done
Who knows best where to inflict 
Greatest trauma
Than an old once held dear friend?
All that is left of love is
Corrosive contempt

The complexities of a past relationship
Are reduced to the simplicity of a fight
That is pleasurable for those
With even greater spite

Think it through before the battle begins
Love can be lost so quickly
Feelings can be hurt so easily
Fights will go on forever and
Everyone will get hurt
