Endearing Parasite

Endearing Parasite
by Frank Daub

Delicious insincerity,
	dear friend.
The fear is about an end.
Though in clarity –
	regarding lasting –
fasting briefly makes all new –
	again.

A fasting poem?? I was just thinking of maybe fasting. It's been a long long time since I ever did!

Thanks for explaining to me your deeper meaning. I don't really think I have fasted from any friendships. If they leave me, they leave me. I am rarely the first to give up on any of my friends. What interview did you watch? I think I have only ever had one interview and I didn't realize it was very easy to find!

Same here, though occasionally I just don’t want food, excepting wild cherry hard candies. Intended theme here was the insincerity of relationships, especially friends. The fasting was meant to support the act of separating from such a friend, for a time, to sort of refresh the good of the friendship despite the insincerity/selfish use of the relationship. Odd, sometimes, that we actually value the friendship even in the face of being used. How are you biding your creative time these days. I watched an interview wherein you shared the history of being captured by poetry only to have to ride through a wasteland of recognition. Yet, see what “they” missed. Frank I am really getting into the PoetrySoup spirit!
