End Up ¿ ?

End Up ¿ ?

What does it matter in the end
All the choices you thought were planned
They turn between the right or wrong
You burn on water
You walk on sand
End up bein’ where you don’t belong
Or stand there in the bursting gardens of your dreams

You play your cards you make your stand
But throw the dice on an empty bet
Good or bad
Happy or sad
As life is dealing you a different hand
Still it’s just living that happens in the end

And all the courses you think you made
When destiny tuned is fiddling monkey to another key
All weave to an end in life’s carnival parade
You walk on water
You burn on coals
End up bein’ where you where meant to be
Or standing in the destruction of your dreams

What does it matter in the end
All the choices that you thought were planned
Had a million choices of their own
With each turning on the road
Bad or Good
Can we see the end
Sad or Happy
Or should we just pretend
That we know what we are doing
And we know where we are going

Or is it just life happening
In the end

Good questions here Colin. I think indeed some things that we believe are in our hands, are not. Wow, your writing is heavy duty thought provoking and amazing. Now thinking of all the unexpected, and not so good, things life has thrown my way. Also, balancing it with the good. Yes, making me me contemplate those questions we all have, never really knowing the answers. Such excellent writing. Love, Shar
