Hearts writhing in pain and wounds that smell 
Souls smoldering in agony and affliction’s hell

O savior! O Love! You are hard to seek in this age of apathy
            Let there be light at the end of the tunnel

Thanks Annalise for your sympathetic comment on my Quatrain. I agree with you that in times of despair one must evoke God. There is no denying from this fact. However, as a human being we will fail in our duty to mankind if we don't give our love to the afflicted as is shown by Jesus. -Mohammad
