End of the Pier

I walk down onto the long pier
The sea looks ever so clear
I can see all the pretty fish swimming
And all the little children stone skimming
I see their families cheer

I walk further down the pier
I notice the end is near
I now see the lovely sunlight dimming
And I admire it, I am grinning
I say to myself "I'm here!"

Libby, welcome to Poetry Soup. A limerick is not easy, yet you have delighted us with two, and they match. Nicely done!
