Encourage and Uplift

When you take a hand from the ditch
Pulling someone to a sitting position
it is a start

But you should go a bit farther
Listen to their truth
Their story
Their life tale

Encourage and uplift them
Build them up
Help them feel human

Do not stop pulling
until they are in a standing position
Tall and proud of themselves

Better yet, enthuse and infuse them
Until they begin to fly in the air like an eagle

So now they can pull others out of ditches

This, folks, is typical Caren! You have lifted me out of so many ditches, Caren, and you didn't even realize it! Great poem; great writing.
