Encounter

I've seen it before, lovers long parted
 gone their separate ways, forgotten over the years
 lost in time;
on occasion as if destiny waits
 a connection slips thru the hourglass, floods of memories return
 and the heart reconnects;
just for the moment, the brief encounter surges
 old feelings and emotions, experiences and memories
 rise to embrace the encounter;
then in a second
 the moment passes,
 lost in the cloud of having been.

"a connection slips thru the hourglass,"... "lost in the cloud of having been." This is an elegant write and captured the exchange between Ulay and Marina! Congratulations!

Well penned, DM. Love the beautifully executed tone of nostalgia.
