Dawn drifts softly into sleepy eyes
a serenade of light from the skies
Awaking at last and sensing fun
is meadow, as flowers lift their heads
It must be time to welcome the sun
celebrating, they dance in their beds
Grass begins to weave in gentle breeze
skirts for all flower stalks that are bare
loudly yawning are the lazy trees
to let the meadow know they are there
Here come unicorns with the princess
who wears a dress of marbled green lawn
though but a frog, we don't love her less
Faeries dance for her just before dawn
We are dwellers in a magical land
Though often enchantment just doesn't show
but the unknown we can clasp in our hand
When dawn drifts into enchanted meadow
