Empty Years

An angel took him by the hand

Into the light he went.

An end to pain and suffering

His mortal coil now spent.

His final thoughts of her,

He would see his wife again.

They were empty years without her

But how his love remained.

So gladly, he surrendered

He cast off these earthly ties.

He'd hold her in his arms once more,

He'd look into her eyes.

Beautifully sad Gary. Well, maybe not sad at all, now that I think about it...probably closer to happy. :) Still nicely done
