Empty Straws

There are times
         When I'm alone
       That I feel so lost
         I am no longer
           Who I was
          I am not yet
        Who I hope to be
     Somewhere in the middle
     I grasp at empty straws

I believe we all position ourselves there at times and some stay longer than others, I know. This is so descriptive and clear in meanxing. Excellent flow and just a terrific read my friend. Michael
