Empty Smile

I don't know who's words play
At the end of the pens ink
They dash what I dare not say
From the past and present they link
The scattered thoughts
That lay across the floor,
They taunt and delude
More than ever before,
Neglected and pass due
Oppressed with vacant musing
Of thoughts not gone through
Vanquished and neglected inquisition
Demands introspection and I know not who
Fills the place of my position,
The light appears to be
One never faltering away
But it seems autopilot has me
Already forgotten in yesterday
Pulses of memories flow within a rapture
Seeping into the mind of who I've tossed away
As the vague longing of home
Lay behind repressed walls
Within my mind, I feel forever alone
As the surface projects
The self I've never before known
