Empty Shell

Sometimes it’s best to be numb
To watch from afar what you’ve become
Disappointment runs through your veins
Sickened from all the lies and the chains
What has been created
Has this monster been long awaited
Was this destined from the start
Were you created with an icy black heart
You’re no better than the rest
With your knife embedded in their chest
Purge yourself of sin
Rip out the beast from within
Leave the empty shell
Let your insides rot in hell
You’ll never be worth the while
So take a blade and carve yourself a pretty smile
