I hate it when my friends drift, far away,
New towns, new dreams, new skies of grey.
I know that life gets loud and fast,
But silence hums are like broken glass.
Those promises and chats we made,
Are ghosts that never seem to fade.
Those old chats, those fading words,
Still tear me down when no one’s heard.
I don’t want to fade, to be replaced,
A name in chats that time erased.
I’m still right here, same heart, same tone,
Yet comfort now feels so strange, alone
